Hereof, where does Mr X come from?
Back in the day (and possibly still now), Mr. X was a nickname for any sort of mysterious government spook. Since it's not revealed until the Super Tyrant fight exactly WHAT Mr. X is in the classic game, he was given the nickname by magazines around the time of the game's release, and it just stuck as a fan nickname.
Likewise, was mr x in the original? Mr. X is different in the remake in that he was a threat that would never break through anything in the original, but would remain a threat so long as the player was in the same room. X will actually check each section of an area and move on only when it's assured that the player isn't in the vicinity.
Additionally, are tyrant and Mr X the same?
The difference between "Tyrant" and "Mr. X" is basically nothing, because "Mr. X" IS a Tyrant, but has a different designation (T-103) than the original RE Tyrant (T-002), so he's a different type of Tyrant, one that can be controlled.
Who was Mr X?
You may have heard him called Mr. X, which is the Resident Evil 2 incarnation. In the original Resident Evil 2, he is a near-immortal bullet-sponge that makes your heart stop every time you see him as he chases you through the police station and beyond.
