Besides, can you float fish with braided line?
Choosing the Right Tackle for Float Fishing
You will need a small reel loaded with around 3 to 6 lbs of line. For sea or pike float fishing, you will need a heavier lure rod or carp rod. You will also need a more substantial reel with around 20 to 30 lbs of braid.
Similarly, do you need backing with braided line? Braided fishing line cannot be spooled on a reel in the same manner monofilament fishing line can. Braided fishing line requires the use of a “backer” on the fishing reel to keep the line from slipping. Some people also use the backer to help fill the spool (because of the smaller diameter of the braided fishing line).
Regarding this, does braid fishing line float or sink?
Because the fiber comprising most braids repels water, it does not take on the weight of the water like more absorbent fibers so it remains less dense than water – thus, it floats!
What is the best line for Waggler fishing?
Regular member. 2 or 3lb maxima for me on the waggler, if fishing top and bottom it will be 2.7 or 3.2 perlon, been using them for years and never had a problem, maxima is tough as old boots and the little bit of stretch is a nice safety net for when you hit the lumps.
